Thank you for your interest in our Alaskan Klee Kai!!

 This is a very rare breed with less than 2000 that have ever been registered in the world. They are registered in UKC (United Kennel Club) and if you choose you may also register them in ARBA.  If you would like to be considered for our waiting list for an AKK please complete the following questions and return this form to me by email. You can copy and paste into either word or on to an email- so we may determine if the Alaskan Klee Kai might make a pleasant addition to your household. All puppies will be placed where they will be loved and well cared for, and it is just as important that you will also be happy with our AKK.

This questionnaire will become a legal part of the Sales Contract in the event you decide to obtain a puppy from Klee Kai of Del Mar so it must be complete or it will not be excepted. All of our puppies come with an 8 week health exam, first shots, wormed, home again microchip, dewclaws removed, copies of OFA certifications from the parents (for Cardiac, Thyroid, and Patellas), CERF results, Factor VII results, and a THREE YEAR genetic health guarantee. They have been born and raised in the home, started on house/crate training, and are child oriented before they leave us.
 

Klee Kai of Del Mar continues to support the exposure of this rare breed and now offers three types of puppies.

#1 Competition Pet Puppy (SPAYED/NEUTERED) ($1800)

#2 Show/Breeding Potential ($1800+pick pup back and/or up to $3000 outright)

#3 Show/Breeding potential Red or Red/Factored ($1800+ pick pup back and/or up to $3000 outright)

#4 Spayed PET for companion ONLY no competition. Although we personally give preference to agility or conformation homes as we have so few litters per year- we DO many times forward this application to breeders who have retired breeders, rescue, or puppies available. So PLEASE fill out anyways :) Price depends on Breeder.

#1 Competition Pet Puppy are to be spayed/ neutered and be trained and compete in Agility, weight-pull, and/or Obedience. We do not require experience in these areas just the will to learn and do. This breed is much more balanced with a job/sport to do! We do require OFA's be done on the pups at 18 months old. If you are not willing to do some type of competition your application will be fowarded to other breeders. We do not breed to supply the "pet trade". Every breeding we set up is with the hope to continue to develop our lines. Those that dont make the grade for conformation go to give competition exposure in agility (etc) to our very rare breed.

#2 Show/Breeding Potential are usually purchased from us for homes willing to show Conformation (sometimes with one of the above sports as well). We require a CH title and OFA certifications for patella’s, cardiac, thyroid and CERF exam on any Show Breeding Potential puppies which are purchased from Del Mar PRIOR to being bred we do this to try to ensure the health of the future generations of our wonderful breed.

#3 Show/Breeding potential Red or Red/Factored are usually purchased from us for homes working on trying to get more healthy red Alaskan Klee Kai in the population. Usually these will go to experienced AKK breeders willing to show Conformation (sometimes with one of the above sports as well). We require a CH title and OFA certifications for patella’s, cardiac, thyroid and CERF exam on any Show Breeding Potential puppies which are purchased from Del Mar PRIOR to being bred we do this to try to ensure the health of the future generations of our wonderful breed.

#4 Spayed/neutered Pet for Companion Only We will forward your application to any breeders who ask us to send them applications for pet puppies. We have helped many folks make a breeder connection over the past several years. No matter what breeder you purchase from please make sure to get no less than a one year bumper to bumper health guarantee on your baby.

NO PUPPIES ARE FOR RE-HOMING OR RE-SALE if you must place them they MUST come back to us. We take LIFETIME responsibility for every puppy which leaves our home.

This is the most variable and difficult to predict. We try to make our best guess on size. All of our breeding dogs are between 11 and 18 pounds. The heights of dogs are measured at the top of the shoulder. The majority of our puppies seem to fall in the small miniature range or toy sizes. Please see webpages under Del Mar puppies to get an idea of size. Toys are Pepin, Mystique, Chaos,  Starscream,  Indi for example. All are under 8 pounds full grown. A standard size is Chibi, and General Disarray the only two standards born here so far. Miniatures are Akira,  Kasha,  and Rogue.

It is very important to us as breeder to get feedback on ALL of the puppies we produce to ensure the health of future generations of our puppies. We ask that people buying our puppies will assist us in this endeavor by completing a serious of health screens to be completed by their vet at 18 months old. We supply the forms one only needs take them to the vet and have them completed. They are OFA Thyroid, OFA Patella, OFA Cardiac, and an Adult Exam which includes CBC and liver panel.
